How People Are Collecting Life Insurance While Still Alive

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

–By Sushma Pradhan

It is true that everybody worries about his or her financial status and the family too. The worry mostly is what will happen after their death? Definitely, the easy and the reliable source to turn to is life insurance. Nevertheless, these are the security for the ones you love after you have passed away from this world.

But what about all the losses and damages that you incur while you are still alive. What if your little pup, out of the blue, bites the courier guy or a pizza delivery boy? The worse still, what if you are sued for the bizarre fancy of your little pet? What if the malfunctioning tap in your bathroom creates damages to the wall of your neighbor?

Have you ever thought of these problems and the kind of trouble they might create. These issues may just burn a big hole in your pocket, if I am excused for exaggeration, they might just leave a crater in fact. Therefore, here are few selective insurance coverages that will actually be your guarding angel at trying times.

Mobile Home Insurance: Mobile home insurance is a protection extended to manufactured units, which are built in sites rather than the factories. This could also be for the unit that is taken from one place to the other. The mobile home insurance covers protection for the patio or the attached deck, it could also be garages or storage shed. Further, this policy also covers your home protection during difficult times, that is during the circumstance where your mobile home becomes unlivable

Mobile home insurance provides you protection in four basic ways and they are:

• This policy will enable you the replacement/repair or to derive actual cash value, depending on the age of your mobile home.

• This policy will caters property replacement, for example, furniture, appliances, your clothes, and other important belongings in condition of damage or in case it is stolen.

• This policy will cover for the injuries or damage caused, while at your home.

• This policy will also cover for the additional living expense that you have to incur due to your forced living away from your home

Auto Insurance Policy: This insurance is very necessary because this policy protects you and your car. It is for these reasons that the government has made it mandatory to have auto insurance.

Here is a list of the common coverage that an auto insurance policy provides:

• Bodily injury & liability coverage is mandatory and protects you when you crash your vehicle, in return injuring someone. It covers for the legal expense too, if there is any liability.

• Car rental policy pays you a stipulated amount in condition where your car is under repair, as a result from an insurance claim.

• Collision coverage is a policy that covers for the all the physical damage done to your vehicle due to collision, irrespective of who the defaulter is.

• Comprehensive coverage provides protection from the natural disturbances such as tornados, hail, flood, ice storms etc.

• Credit insurance coverage pays off your auto loan in case of your disability or loss of life.

Windshield coverage is the policy that covers for the broken windshield, because driving with a broken windshield is against the law. In case, you stay in a high crime rate area, then this cover is justifiable.

Medical coverage for all the makes care of all the medical expenses for you and the passengers, in case of injury, irrespective of the person at fault.

• Underinsured or uninsured motorist policy protects and takes care of all the charges due to the accident by an uninsured or underinsured motorist.

Insurance to protect your business: Starting a business takes risks, possibilities, and optimism. This also includes your need to be cautious about its protection. This is the reason why comprehensive insurance package is essential for small businesses.

Your business may hold facet of risk and therefore it is necessary you look high and low for the chances and get it secured before you feel it is too late.

Here is a checklist that you may need to consider:

• Business owner coverage provides damage protection from unforeseen circumstances. This coverage is also known as ‘catch all’ and offers a certain level of liability protection.

• Property insurance can enhance the coverage offered by the business owner coverage. This includes protection due to damage to the building that your business is stationed on. It also takes care of the inventory and other furniture inside the building.

• Liability insurance covers for the injuries or damage you cause to someone. This could be anyone, it could be the postal guy, who sues you for the dog bite while delivering you the mail.

• Product liability insurance is a coverage for certain product, which you feel, may harm someone else.

• Omissions and errors insurance, as the name suggests takes care of the negligence, due to which your customer is caused harm.

Condominium Insurance: Condominium insurance or condo insurance provides condo owners with a cost-effective, comprehensive coverage and these protections includes:

• Damage of property to your home and all its attached structures and private structures, for example, the freestanding garage or the tool shed.

• Damage or theft to your personal property, such as clothing, furniture, with coverage for worldwide protection enlisted in the policy.

• Coverage for personal liability for protection when injury or damage is done to others or their property for which your relative or you are responsible.

• Few optional coverage as pertaining to the state law such as, coverage for lock replacement after theft, coverage for refrigerated content losses due to mechanical or power failure.

• Inflation protection to make sure that the increasing construction cost is dealt by your insurance coverage

Home insurance: Home Insurance is a policy that ensures the safety of your home and the belongings that you posses. This policy at times is also called the ‘package policy’ because it covers liability and damage coverage.

A standard home insurance includes four basic types of coverage:

• In case your house is damaged by hurricane, fire, or any other natural or unnatural disaster listed in the policy.

• Your furniture, clothes, sports equipment, and other personal belonging’s damage

• It takes care of the lawsuit filed against you for bodily injury or damage of personal property done to an individual by you or your pet.

• Additional living expenses for cases where your home becomes unlivable due to severe damages and you are forced to live in a temporary accommodation.

The 10 Biggest Factors in Determining the Length of your Life

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

–By Sushma Pradhan

Too often, we live our life with a feeling of mere existence. However, we have to remember that life is not just existence. We need to create value out of every moment that we survive. When we aim to live long, why not aim to live healthy rather than just stretch those extra years with ventilators, masks, and popping in those multi colored and multi shaped pills. Here are ways that will help you not just add years to your life but give it a beautiful meaning too.

1. Love: The most beautiful and wonderful feeling ever. If you are not in love, then why not give an idea about it. In case, you have, then fall in love all over again. Falling in love does not necessarily mean romantically involved. Why not let your feeling flow, and express that love of yours. It could be in verse, a little gift, a small wonderful gesture, a warm smile, or perhaps just spending a little time. Express your love for your family, feel the joy of loving and getting love in return. Fall in love with humanity, then just wait and watch, how good you feel from inside. In return, just imagine how many illnesses you keep at bay, by merely falling in love again.

2. Indulge in morning ritual: Wake early up early and start your day. Watch the sunrise, and tell yourself you will not waste this wonderful day. Take each day as a gift and be ready to face the challenge it brings. Leave the comfort of the warm bed and go for long walks. A brisk walk in the morning and evening will add years to your life. However, the most important point here, you will look younger than your age. Wow! Don’t you think that it is a wonderful idea to save some money that you drain away for beauty treatment and therapy?

3. Suffer when there is to suffer: Well, this does not literally mean that you should not do anything about the sufferings in your life. Or else, you will feel as though you are reading a diary of a sadist. When I say suffering, I mean to point out that life has its share of high and low. Suffering is a part of life and one has to accept that. We lose our dear ones. We may not get the desired job. We may fall sick or are physically injured. Learn to feel the pain and grieve the moment. But, do not etch that pain in your heart. Try to move on and search for joy in life. Finding joy in living is extending your life.

4. Look at the positive side of life: We all know that we are not here to stay forever. We are all common mortals. We all make mistakes, learn to accept mistakes, and learn to rectify those mistakes not repeat them. Your negativity could come in a form of criticisms, self-doubt, or something you cannot do anything about. When these feelings start taking over your conscience, try to replace these feelings with positive ones. It is easy said then done, but the beginning has to be somewhere. So why not be now.

Do not make your heart a heap of scars. Learn to open your heart, receive love, and give love unconditionally. Learn the art of communicating. Try this it will do wonders for you.

5. Try few exercises: Are you a couch potato? Is your life sandwiched between different channels? Then think again? Just calculate, how many hours have left to live? Do that little addition and subtraction and then, yes unplug that TV. Now, the next time you can put in on, when you have some good movie you love or you get your favorite choice of DVD. Try some exercise for yourself, to get rid of all the junk that you have accumulated in your body. You may start a little bit of running, light push-ups. On the other hand, why not try something adventurous like rowing or hiking.

6. Mind your food: Do not eat your food half-heartedly, enjoy every morsel. However, loving and enjoying your food does not mean that you make a heap of the delicacy on your plate. Savor your food slowly and chew them well. Do not just gorge on them. Don’t you think that when you love to eat something why not eat slowly and enjoy them. Add colors to your plate. Well definitely not the colors of cream or icing, I mean the fruits and vegetables. However, add variety to your plate, I am sure you have heard the phrase; variety is the spice of life.

7. Discover the joy of travel: When was the last time you went for a vacation? I am sure you must be having that feeling of traveling some day. This does not necessarily mean that you wait until you reach that age of retirement or the day when you have accumulated enough money. Well, find out ways to cut down those extra expenses that you make, for instance eating out. You have to make it. One thing here for sure, you are young and this is the time to see the world. When your limbs give away, do you think you will be able to enjoy the steady climb to Eiffel Tower? Travel rejuvenates your life and adds days and yes not subtract days from your life.

8. Rediscover all that is important: This is one exercise that you need to do, if you want to add quality to your life. It might just take an hour or a little more.

Make a list of all that is important to you. Next, add to it everything that you want to do and expect out of life. Once the list is prepared, chalk out the list to just four to five things. These points are your core aim. These are the points that matter, focus, and take out time for these activities. You may eliminate the rest.

9. Do something different: Different does not mean that you think of ways to find your name in the Guinness Book of records. Different is doing something minute yet simple that will bring so much joy, which probably you had never thought of. For example, getting a little wet in the rain, feeling the shower touch you. Leave the manicured neighborhood and take a walk into a place where people are living in worse condition, talk to them, feel their pain. Play with children, buy flowers for yourself, talk to old people and just look around, you will find many more such opportunities.

10. Life exists beyond that cubicle too: Do you just identify yourself with computers, taking phone calls, shuffling papers and chatting away on the internet? Do not waste your life in the files and your eyes glued to the computer. Try to organize your life. Organizing work and bringing a discipline adds many years to your healthy living. No doubt, you are using the internet to read the article there are exceptions always. Once you are done with this reading, unplug the internet and think of ways to organize the papers and yes your life.

10 Surefire Tips to Add 10 Years to your Life

Friday, June 1st, 2007

–By Sushma Pradhan

Looking younger is not just acting like 10 years less than your age, it is the overall condition of your body and soul.
Moreover, maintaining a good health is like standing on the edge of the sword, a condition to survive amongst the chaos of Satan’s Pandemonium.

However, maintaining a healthy living habit is difficult but certainly not impossible. The only thing that you require is a firm determination.

Here are ten ways, which will help you add more years to your healthy living. So, all the best

1. Do not carry your weight around: Obese in a layman’s term means large body fat, whereas obesity is a much complex situation.

Obesity is measured by calculating the body mass index (BMI)  of an individual and it involves many serious medical conditions.
? High blood pressure
? High cholesterol
? Stroke
? Heart disease
? Gallbladder disease
? Osteoarthritis
? Menstrual problems
? Infertility
? Cancer
? Sleep apnea

In case you are overweight, it is time now for you to sweat and shed off some of that extra flab. It is the time to wage war against obesity, because if you want to enjoy long and healthy life, you better say goodbye to all those extra fats.
What say?

2. Dance with me: Dancing can create magic into your life and transform you completely. It can breathe into you a completely new life and unleash into your romance for life.

On a physical level, dancing provides a great healthy body, enhancing your  brain to be as healthy as your age.

Research has also shown that some people with Alzheimer’s disease are able recall memories when they dance to the music they used to know.

Ballroom dancing at least twice a week makes people comparatively less prone to develop dementia.

There are various dance schools that hold dance classes or are open to the public few nights in a week. There are different kinds of dance forms and you can choose the dance you want to learn.

In case you feel that you are the one with two left feet or do not have adequate time to devote for a dance school, you can do your own bit of moving and shaking at your home. You just need to turn that music on and do the dancing around the house.

Just give thought who knows once the play button is on you might not want to stop.

3. Smile, it increases your face value: There may be songs that may really put the smile on your face. A smile will not only make you look cheerful and good but will make you like one from inside.

There are many health benefits behind that wondrous smile, in fact if you stretch your smile to laughter. The benefits may range from strengthening the immune system, which will in return reduce your craving for food.

On the other hand, humor therapy has many therapeutic benefits. It is believed to help people to heal quickly than other things.

So, if you want to walk that extra mile then smile a while. Let us see the milestones that you will achieve with a smile.

? It will help you control your stress
? It produces health enhancing hormones
? It enhances the T cell’s effectiveness
? It increases the anti-body producing cell
? A good laughter is a good workout
? It is a good exercise for the heart

4. Think positive: Positive thinking, optimism, and positive attitude are all the cause of not just well-being but also of a healthy long life. If you carry such positive attitude,  you will be successful in every sphere and definitely live a long life.

? The first step towards positive thinking is the belief, you cannot pretend to be positive thinker.
? The second step is being objective. Do not judge your life with failures nor live life with false pride, pride mostly makes you take wrong decisions
? Prefer the company of people who have a positive attitude for life
? Be patient and pace yourself, you cannot be positive thinker overnight
? Take the first step, no matter how many inspirational books you read or motivational speeches you hear. These all show you the way, it is you, who needs to open the door.

5. Getting High! Hic!: Alcohol is the intoxicating ingredient that constitutes beer, wine, and hard liquor. Studies suggest that consuming moderate amount of alcohol is beneficial to human body. It is the excess, which causes harm to the body.

Alcohol takes no time to be absorbed by the body. The alcohol-laden blood travels through the capillaries and veins to the liver. The liver is the organ that has the highest impact of the alcohol. The metabolism changes the cell structure of the liver thus hampering its fat metabolizing capacity.
